Two-Dimensional Linearized Inverse Scattering Problem
This project address the inverse medium problem. An object is reconstructed by the field measurements retrieved from the data domain.
Single Channel Noise Reduction System for Speech Enhancement
A single channel noise reduction system is designed for speech enhancement. Intelligibility and Sound Quality is assessed by mean of objective measures. Multiple-microphone situation is also discussed. |
Ultrasound Transducer Design
The purpose of the assignment is to provide an analysis for the selection of the dimensions for the elements of a ultrasound transducer.
Decentralized Average Environmental Temperature Estimation
The problem estimation of the average temperature of a room is solved by the implementation of a distributed algorithm. Two methods (ADMM and GBA) are compared and its characteristics discussed. |
Semidefinite Relaxation Applications
Two applications of SDR are explored. Computerised Tomography (CT) Reconstruction and Sensor Network Localisation. |
OCR for Handwriting Letters
Classification of Handwritten Digits using different types of representations ( Pixels, HOG Features, and Dissimilarity) is explored in this project. In addition design choices are made for a fully functional OCR systems for different problem conditions.

KavLab ... Birth and Death [Almost]
During the time I was thinking in attending to graduate school, me and three more friends (Rafael, Manuel, Alexis) decided to build our own company of electronics and software solutions.
We had two customers, three projects, a small profit and well...

I moved to The Netherlands for more adventures.. and now I am here for graduate school!
